That was the thread I first started at, and I followed all of those steps, but I was still having issues per my last post in this thread.
For those of us with OMEN laptops, and possibly others, here are the additional steps I have taken to fix the problem. I just happened to figure this out.
The key issue is that in the NVIDIA control panel, this menu was grayed out and forced the first option on this menu of using the Intel UHD for the display monitor. I was able to ‘ungray’ the menu by enabling developer settings and checking all of the other options under ‘Desktop’ and ‘3D Settings’ at the very top menu bar of the Nvidia Control Panel.
