FABRICATE 2017 - Call for Work extended: July 30, 2016

FABRICATE is an international peer reviewed conference with supporting publication on the theme of Digital Fabrication. The FABRICATE 2017 conference aims to instigate discussions on constructed projects and cutting-edge research in the context of computational design and digital fabrication between leading experts in academia and industry.

The conference will convene over April 7-8 2017 at the University of Stuttgart (ICD, Institute for Computational Design).

Confirmed keynote speakers include Kengo Kuma (Architect and Professor of Architecture at the University of Tokyo) and Antoine Picon (Professor of History in Architecture and Technology at Harvard GSD). Jenny Sabin (Assistant Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Cornell University) and Philip Yuan (Professor of Architecture at Tongji University and Council member of the Architectural Society of China) will participate in FABRICATE as session chairs.

The Call for Work is open for submissions of built or partially built projects by individuals or collaborators in academia, practice and industry. The submission deadline has been extended. Please submit by July 30, 2016. The initial submission is an abstract of 500 words with 10 images. The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts and those selected will be featured in the FABRICATE publication. A smaller selection of projects will be presented at the conference.
