Hi Guys, so im new to Rhino and i’m trying to find a command that can roll this glass track stringer I’ve produced. I’ve created the initial development in autocad and imported into Rhino. What command/ tutorial would show how to do this?
The Rhino commands ExtrudeCrv
, Sweep1
, Sweep2
, Flow
and/or FlowAlongSrf
may do what you want, but it is difficult to help without a .3dm file containing the geometry. A sketch of what you are trying to do or an illustration of something similar would also help someone trying to assist you.
You upload files here by clicking on the vertical arrow icon above where you type a post, or by dragging the file to the area where you type a post.
Hi David thank you for your message!
I’ve attached the dwg file as i’m using autocad. I can model this in autocad but i’m hoping Rhino makes this process alot quicker as 3D models are purely visual for my clients. All of the fabrication is from developments.
Omega.dwg (127.1 KB)
I would use FlowAlongSrf. UnrollSrf the cylinder you want the objects to flow along. Position the unrolled surface on the objects. Then FlowAlongSrf.
