Create irregular grid in oval planar surface

Hi there,

I am trying to divide an oval planar surface (pic1) with a domain to create a grid with different sizes.
Although it works for a rectangular planar srf, I get this result (pic2) when I try it with the oval shaped one.

Pic3 shows what I would like to achieve. Maybe I shouldn’t be using the isotrim component.

Any help appreciated,


is the oval surface’s underlying untrimmed domain like this? Then just apply whatever worked on the rectangular surface on this.
if not try shrinking the surface
also may wanna use re-parametrized surfaces so domains are 0 to 1. easier to manage in my opinion

Does something like that could help ?
