I used the “metaball custom” command in the Cocoon component of Grasshopper to create this curve. However, it seems very difficult to convert this curve to a mesh after this point. Is it possible to do so? There must be a way to convert a curve like this into a mesh, but I don’t know how to do it.
Please tell me how to convert lines like this to a mesh, whether using Rhino or Grasshopper.
please polyline to mesh.3dm (2.3 MB)
Hello
I didn’t look at your file but Cocoon plugin was able to output mesh !
If you have curve use that
Hi,
it is not easy to have a perfect solution of your problem. First you are far from the origin and Rhino doesn’t like it for mesh as most of the time mesh is using float representation. Now there is a double precision mesh vertex in Rhino 6 but I am not sure it is well implemented everywhere.
It could be good also so separate the differents groups ou metaballs.
For each group make the slices in 3 planes cf. Metaballs, the naughty way. - Grasshopper …
You could use Dendro that is very good.…

Please upload the GH file.
cocoon When I used other commands, it was slow or ugly. Also, there are many errors when combining many spheres.
Okay, I’ll try to find another way to do it.
I just uploaded a grasshopper file.

Metaball custom is not a component of Cocoon.
I suggest you use Cocoon to do that, there are example files to teach you how to do that.
Cocoon – bespoke geometry
These are Cocoon.
