Comparing results with Ladybugtools

Hi @
Doing some tests I’m trying to compare Cyclops results with those of Ladybug.
For now i’m trying radiation.
The left one is Cyclops, the middle is Ladybug and the right Honeybee. The totals are summarized on the right side of the image.

As you can see there are some differences, especially where there is self shading and on north and west facades. I wonder why, so I want to ask about the calculations algorithm you are using.

For now the differences are not fundamental, but still they can be for other cases.

Will be glad to hear your insights.
Best,
-A.

Hi @ayezioro,

One thing to make sure of — Cyclops doesn’t assume a ground plane by default, so you’ll need to manually include one in your setup.

Another thing that might be worth checking is how Cyclops samples time:

It’s a good idea to compare this with Ladybug’s setup to make sure they’re aligned.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!
