Autoupdate Plug-in

Hi All,

we want to give our plugin an auto-update feature, so we can roll out more frequently. Has anybody done that already, are there any specific problems we need to check for, because of the plug-in nature of the application? Or maybe is there a ‘standard’ way to this?

@will something that Yak could help with?

This is something that #yak will be able to help with in the future, but these kinds of features will likely have to wait until Rhino 7.

Okkey, thank you. Then maybe we’ll try with a standalone autoupdater app, if we can force Rhino to restart then we might be able to solve it that way.

reviving the topic, I think auto update would be a great feature for the Package Manager

Just to join into this as well, I’d love to know if Yak has addable package sources so you can host a private repo source?

Hi, i have a question about Autoupdate of plugins.

Where can i turn off auto update of pack manager plugins?

When I install a version of a plug in from pack manager, then i re start rhinoceros and find that the last version is installed.

In Options > Advanced, set Rhino.Options.PackageManager.CheckForUpdates to False.
