Morning everyone,
I would like to present you with a piece created solely in Rhino + Grasshopper.

Designed by Katerina Handlova for Lasvit, this piece has even made it to the Guinness Book of Records as the largest chandelier in the world: https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/110600-largest-chandelier-dimensions
Work-wise, it was heavy use of Grasshopper and V-Ray + Unreal Engine for presentation. The shape of fishing nets is simulated in Kangaroo and then confirmed in structural engineering software. Real components of various lengths are distributed on the cables using sequences of text strings. At the very end, XYZ positions of LED chips are transferred from Grasshopper to the Touch Designer for animated effects production.
This project took us 4 years to finish.
