EDG is looking for an Architectural Graphics Designer to join our team. You will work with our architectural team members and work closely with our onsite architects/engineers in meeting deadlines and achieving project goals. The ideal candidate has a high level of experience in New York City projects and a proficiency in architectural design software for building design. This candidate takes a strong interest in visualization and graphic representation .
You will be:
- Preparing high-resolution, photo-realistic renderings and exploring design options for architecture and interiors
- Developing architectural design and technology toolkit for in-house rendering
- Exploring design options for architectural and interior design
- Researching and developing graphic standards and integration with EDG systems
- Assisting 3D printing fabrication lab with development of products and materials
- Developing and preparing visualization packages for architectural competitions, marketing campaigns, and client presentations
- Managing and maintaining industry relationships for EDG
- Drafting and developing drawing sets for internal/external review, as well as preparing construction documents as needed
- Assisting in architectural design for New Building & Renovation with a particular focus on the graphic representation
- Supervising and facilitating digital library for all disciplines of EDG and its staff
- Conducting visualization research and documentation for in-house product design
We look for:
- Understanding of construction drawings and standards
- Knowledge of NYC zoning
- Master’s degree preferred
- Strong understanding of x-refs, layers, and layer management
- Proficiency using AutoCAD, Rhino, 3DS Max, Revit, Vray, Maya, Full Adobe Suite (including Premier), Full Microsoft Suite, or equivalents.
- 3D modeling and rendering experience highly desired
- Physical model experience a plus
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- 5+ years of professional architecture experience
