Apply equal UV grid across a mesh

Screen%20Shot%20039

Hold on… couldn’t one just turn any surface into a mesh? and then construct UV logic from there? Using proximity to each mesh face or something along those lines?

You mean - obviously - make a mesh from a Brep? Kinda using MeshMashine? If so … you’ll need to convert the tri mesh into a quad one (Google that one) and then attempt to relax it. That said I can’t post stuff like that because is strictly internal.

Internal? Just out of curiosity are you working for a CAD company or something similar. Thanks for the link, I am going to check it out.
Thanks

I own a practice (AEC market sector).

Hey cool I am taking a look at the PDF you shared… cool algorithym. Do you have any others? I am writing a few custom python scripts and looking for - relatively - easy algorithms (a few days each ideally) to interpret/write on my own the Q-Morph looks good.

Others doing what? Divide by zero? (easy) Calculate the mass of a black hole? (elementary) Starting a proper Ducati when it rains? (impossible).

BTW: Do this and become the offset king:

omw stat!

Very cool. I have a good understanding of both papers - on a theoretical basis. That being said, how would one approach turning these into python scripts? Methodologically speaking? My math skills are… alright… should I just ‘jump in’ as it is?

Bad news: P is not my game: I’m in the AEC market sector meaning that C# is the thing to use (i.e. the average common development language among several AEC BIM/BLM oriented apps [none of them is Rhino, mind]).

Good news: is never too late: change camp.

Ugly news: is always too late.

I appreciate your response. I mean on more fundementals, I read all the python primers, etc.

Bad news: I have some 439 other similar stuff. You may need a decade to address them all (note: time flies).

Cool! What mathematics/physics? Learn as I go? I have some calculus, algebra…

Yes! Perfect…

since I have your attention: How about this:

very cool… but nothing to do this like in GH? at least on a beginning level? write a script similar to karimba or the like?

See this black car over there? Is an Ariel Atom 4: the best affortable sports car money can buy. See the silver one? Is an AMG Mercedes F1 thingy: the best of the best (of the best) … er … provited that you have a team of 22 to get it started (and 350++ M to spend).

Moral: each one on his own game.
