I have a quad mesh and I measured the median for its faces planarity and the median of its edges length, I am a little bit confused how can I know if the planarity error is acceptable due to the edges length ?
What counts as acceptable depends on the application. If these are panels in a glass and steel roof, then you can talk to the fabricator to see how much they can safely cold bend the glass - this will be affected by the type of glass used and the connection details. Often this is given approximately as how many mm the 4th corner can be out of the plane defined by the other 3 for a 1m x 1m panel.
