2016 AA Visiting School- Rio De Janeiro Workshop

The AA Visiting School Rio de Janeiro 10-day intensive workshop will focus on how scanned body data can inform and transform sports infrastructure. Led by Japanese interactive digital-architect Seiichi Saito of Rhizomatiks, this workshop both illustrates and improves human athletic capacity and interactively engages the spectator. The workshop will teach eyeball and brain scanning, interactive coding, and parametric digital design and fabrication using Rhino and Grasshopper.

Students will use the Tokyo 2020 Olympic stadium as a testing ground for this new type of intelligent and interactive sports architecture.

All software will be taught from beginning level, no previous experience needed.
