Anyone rendered shaggy carpet? How to do it?

I tried to model that, but it became very heavy file and very heavy for rendering…

I would be very thankful if someone makes video tutorial of this!

If you’re not too close up, you can use Brazil’s built in displacement.

You may also try RhinoHair or Furgen from Liquid Techtonics.

Rhinohair or Furgen still alive? Couldn’t find any download page. Anyone to send plugin file to me to my email?
I tried displacement but I couldn’t get any good results.
