ZOO connectivity intermittent says unknown exception has occurred after long wait.
That isn’t much information to go on. Are you running both the latest version of both Rhino and the Zoo?
Also, to troubleshoot connectivity issues, use the Zoo Diagnostics utility.

Hi Dale, yes both Rhino5 and the latest zoo5, port 80 open in and out. I run Zoo Diagnostics all good to step 5 half the time it connects half the time it freezes and finally a window pops up that says an known exception has occurred in Rhino zoo. David Anderson

It certainly sounds like something is getting in the way of the communciations between Rhino and the Zoo. Make sure the firewall software on the Zoo server is open for both incoming and out going traffic on TCP Port 80. Here are some instructions on how to do this with the Windows Firewall:
Note, some security products come with their own firewall software. If this is the case, then you will need to some research on how to do the similar procedure that that product.
That said, anything else you can tell us about your network? Is the Zoo server on the same subnet as the Rhino system? Is it in the same building.
