Zero-size array error

Hello everyone.
I would like to use the Spherene Plug-in on this structure. When computing, I got the following warning: “WARNING - Error during Cloud Computation: zero-size array to reduction operation maximum which has no identity”. I reduced the density points until there was 1 left and still got the same warning, so I think the problem lies within the mesh structure. STL file is attached.

DefectV2.stl (4.3 MB)

Just to be clear: This structure was made by extracting a mesh from CT data. I then repaired it in meshmixer, made it to be a solid object and exported it as a .3mf file. I then opened it in Rhino, together with the surrounding bone, and used different commands (f.e. MeshBooleanDifference to cut the defect out of the bone so there is a perfect fit). Now I need to make the ADMS structure and I think my mesh is not ideal.
After running MeshRepair, I have the following info:

Object name is redacted for privacy reasons.
After that I click Repair Mesh but it doesn’t do anything.

Does anyone here have an idea what I can do to repair my mesh?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Lisa -

There isn’t all that much wrong with that mesh.
To locate the self-intersecting faces, you can use the MeshSelfIntersect command. That will create a curve where faces intersect, so you can manually move vertices to stop faces from intersecting.

Apart from that, you should probably ask the developers of the Spherene plug-in what is needed here.

Hi!
Thank you for your answer. I already reached out to someone from the plug-in.
