I was working on a script to automatically set the working folder to the current document folder, and I would like to request that it just be set like that by default. Unless you have a single folder where you put everything you import or export or whatever, regardless of project–which is certainly possible but how many people do this?–the current behavior is useless, I am constantly jumping from project to project so the file dialogs are almost never close to the directory I need. I know it’s following the principle of saving your last choice, but again unless you’re only working on one project at a time it doesn’t work because that choice is basically random based on the last Rhino instance you closed. What percentage of users would really be bothered by such a change?
Hi Jim - I hear you but I’d be very leery of making a change like this - the number of scripts and plug-ins that could be affected must be large, even if day to day users probably do not care much.

I agree with Jim above, Rhino 7 default print folder location worked perfectly for my workflow (And many others, I imagine) - where if you print, it prints to the same folder that contains the Rhino file itself. For me it is a huge pain now that Rhino 8 decided to save to the last opened folder. This behavior makes no sense to my work-flow, would be great if there was a way to change it one way or the other and control the behavior.
