I’d love to have an option with the clipping plane to display all the geometry (so no clipping occurs) so that we’re left with a realtime section tool!

Just tried Section tools which give me something I can measure from but they lack the realtime ability of the clipping plane unfortunately (they have to be manually updated after geometry change).

Thanks Gijs, I had another try and you’re correct, I can actually snap to the sections for measurements.
What I did find though, was that the display marker for the ‘Near’ snap doesn’t show (but the text does). I think this must have lead me to believe I couldn’t measure.

Yes, I’ve seen this before happening (not only with Near Osnap), but it’s not always failing
