(wish) subselect - copy object to layer

my wish: make copy object to Layer available to sub-Objects.
(Rhino 8)

select a full object - in Layer-Panel you can “Copy Object to Layer” on the right mouse button.

select a sub-Object, (segment or face, …) - “Copy Object to Layer” is not available - but i wish it would be !

select a full object and a sub-Object “Copy Object to Layer” is available - but only the full Object will be copied ;-(

(copy/paste handles sub-objects)
