(Wish) Reflect - add Tolerance

_reflect
currently i teach to use setPt to make sure the Vertices fit to the later symmetry Plane.

it would be nice to have a tolerance option to handle this.
SubD is a lot about fast and visually dragging points…

My Wish:

Tolerance = auto (default value)
should take care on average edge length.
if a vertex is less then 1/10 of from the average edge length, it should be projected to the reflection plane before applying the symmetry.

Tolerance = 0.1 … numeric…
same behaviour as above, but not linked to average edge length but absolute

this is a simple fake to show the problem i am talking about:
applied _reflect, the middle vertex is 1 mm of…
in box mode this error gets “suck” by the red, shinning symmetry-indicator.
(wish should have a fixed pixel width… not getting bigger when zooming in)

thanks - kind regards - tom

Thank you for your report, I have logged this requirement to our development engineers.

RH-89405 Reflect: Add Tolerance option

In joining the party a bit late but I agree with Tom, this would help.

I’m used to do the same multiple times while using the SubD.
