Wish: Offset, Extrude, etc. : maintain input layer OR current layer

offsetSrf for example puts generated geometry on the same layer as input geometry

extrudeSrf however does put it on the current layer

there is no option to control it.

It would be very helpful to control the output by these 2 options for all commands that create geometry from input objects

Hi Daniel - apart from being able to control output layer at the command line, OffsetSrf keeps the input layer on Solid=Yes and uses the current layer is Solid=No - that is, when a completely independent object is made.
