Imagine having a surface as a part of block’s geometry. I made some trials with some commands and found that some are working with sub elements of the surface and some not.
Here are some results (again, I’m talking about edges of a surface in a block):
BlendCrvis working with surface edge selection.Extendis working while picking the surface edge.MatchSrfis not allowing to pick a surface edge to match to the surface in a block. (My most desired one).Sweep1doesn’t work with edges as a rail input, but works as a profile input (that’s confusing, right?). And it works with curves from a block both ways.DupEdgeworks with surface edge.
My question is, could we have more consistency with all this? I would prefer to expand a range of commands which support the surface edges in a block as an input.
