Wish: Layers to have separate object colour and curve colour

It would be extremely handy if the layers could be set to render both, object colour and curve colour individually, so that any new curve or line created in the active layer could use its own object colour which is different from the standard object colour. By default, both categories of objects should use the same colour, but the user should be able to change either of these subsequently by clicking on the tiny coloured square under the Layers panel.

Do you use a macro to show and hide only curves then?

I ask because I always keep curves on a separate layer but I’m curious about other workflows.

I place my curves in the same layer like the extrusions, this is why I made this feature request. :slight_smile: The idea is to avoid constantly switching between layers to set the active layer.
