Wish: Ellipse from many points

Hi guys,
I wish for a ellipse from many points tool. Could you consider making that? I feel that R8 would benefit from some basic tool focus both on curves and surfaces.

what’s that exactly? like one that fits through points?

Yes, we have circle (and arc) from three points, which is a great tool, so an ellipse would need more, four at least for a “through points”, or maybe only four for an accurate output?

I think you need 5 points to uniquely determine an ellipse
