Currently when a control point of a curve is dragged with the gumball + Alt button, a new curve is generated. Shouldn’t it makes sense that what is duplicated is the control point of the first curve? so we could use gumball as an UX friendly alternative to insertcontrolpoint command

So not just copy a cv in space (like placing a point) but you want to drag a point on the curve to make for instance a 4 point curve into a 5 point curve?

yes, that’s it, alt+drag a cp to a add a new cp to the original curve
