Wish: Display attributes - Opacity input?

Just wondering: why doesn’t the Display attributes have an Opacity input despite the color input itself having an Opacity associated that you can’t really override, unlike materials?

Yet an object’s Display Color can have opacity in Rhino.
There are no deconstruct Swatch/ Color components, so all I can do is to modify the color inputs like so:

There are two things here.

  1. The Grasshopper Preview options are one thing, meant to be used at Dynamic Runtime only.
  2. Rhino Display color/Rendering materials with transparency for Model Objects that get pushed and saved in Rhino itself.

Which one are we talking about here?

I’m talking about the 2nd, the Display Attribute that’s pushed with the object.
The Custom Preview part is just a quick and easy visualisation of a workaround to change the opacity through text editing for anyone interested. But I’m requesting an opacity input for the Display Attributes.

There is a split ARGB component in the display tab..
