Wish I could copy gumball from a currently selected thing to the next thing that I select (keep same orientation.)
can you expand on that a bit? an example or screen shot?
Got it, thanks- that makes sense now.
@Joshua_Kennedy any ideas on how to do this?
It’s almost a “preserve gumball state” kind of thing that you can then apply to different geometries.
Or Copy Orientation and Paste Orientation?
You could set a Cplane first and set your Gumball to Cplane. That seems about the same amount of work as setting the first Gumball orientation.
I don’t think that will work well with the way that I use the gumball when doing lots of subd point editing, but I’ll try it out when I’m back in office in a few weeks.
@Gijs But…if I’ve already modified a gumball orientation, how can I copy that to a new location? I can see using Cplane if I’m planning ahead to use that orientation multiple times, but this is more of an on-the-fly thing that I need, especially when working with free-form shapes, so I don’t think I want to set up a construction plane every time.
@phcreates I’ve made a request for it here: RH-94953 Gumball: sticky orientation
