Micha, I added this to the wishlist.
Thanks,
Micha
Will it be working per Bongo 3? It could allow to render some nice effects.
You can follow the issue here: https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/BO-2883
Thank you. Could be nice to get it at Bongo 3.
Is there some reason you need the widget to be animated specifically? It’d be nice to see a concrete example of what exactly you’re trying to do. Bongo already allows animating the texture mapping properties and that may solve your problem.
Nice example.
The problem is that V-Ray materials don’t use the mapping of the Rhino materials. Better, more universal for all render engines would be if the parameters of the mapping widget could be animated.
For example one idea was to animated a planar widget for moving a wave pattern over a water surface. Another idea was to animate a planar widget which controls the placement of a transparency gradient of a V-Ray material. So, I could soft blend in and out objects by moving the transparency gradient.
That makes sense. I’ll see what I can do.
