More often than not I run MergeAllCoplanarFaces after Union. Which means I can’t just hit the spacebar to run Union again.
It’s a little thing, but the little things help smooth out the day.

Hi Jeremy - this has come up now and again, and I am not sure what the upshot of our various discussions was, I’ll ask the developer. If you really want this, now, you can of course make a macro -
! _BooleanUnion _Pause _SelLast _MergeAllCoplanarFaces
It does require two Undos…
