I can trim subD, which unfortunately turns it into complex polysurfaces. But it’s at least possible to simply cut it. But I couldn’t figure out how to ‘wire cut’ a subD object. Is it not possible?

_wirecut only works for the Object-Type Brep / Polysurface.
you can convert _ToNurbs and then use the _wirecut command.
if you want to stay in the world of sub-d - the closes you can get is the sub-D fuse component in grasshopper which allows some operations similar to boolean-difference.
