Wirecut and Makehole Are Making Extrusions In Addition To Holes

I am trying to use “WireCut” or “MakeHole” to put a hole into a polysurface.

In doing these commands, it creates an extrusion in addition to the hole which is joined to the poly surface. I need explode this to delete it which is annoying.

How can I resolve this?

Hi Joseph - use Trim in this case, WireCut is really for closed solids.
