The application just stalls at launch, no beach ball, no windows or menu bar appear. I’d attached my system info if I could. I’m on an M1 13” MacBook Pro, 2020, Tahoe 26.3.1. I deleted the settings files in Application Support and did a fresh install, no change. I re-installed a previous build and that works fine, fyi.
Thanks!
please do you have anybody previous build to download.
I have a project and I can’t get to it ![]()
here is previous version - https://files.mcneel.com/rhino/9/mac/releases/rhino_wip_9.0.26076.06306.dmg and its working!
yeeeeha
I would gladly provide you with a link but I’m not sure if this would potentially violate some McNeel policy. It would be really swell if there was a location on their site where one could easily access previous builds. Perhaps one of the friendly team members could weigh in.

Hi all -
Thanks for reporting.
I’m afraid I’m not able to reproduce this issue on my end, also on Tahoe 26.3.1 (a).
We are looking into this…

same problem here
Thanks.
For the time being, you can revert to last week’s WIP using the link that @petermasek posted two hours ago in this thread.

So far, it looks like a plug-in is causing this to fail.
Is anyone encountering this using either one of those: Bifocals, FreeJewels, or OpenNest?
-wim
Vectorize looks like it may be triggering this. We’re still investigating. (I cannot reproduce the hang with Bifocals, FreeJewels, or OpenNest).
We will get this sorted out. Should anyone want to continue with the latest WIP, you can get to packages by going to Finder, pressing command+shift+g, pasting in: ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/packages/9.0 and then drag the Vectorize folder to your Desktop (or really anywhere else). RhinoWIP should then launch without issue. Regardless, this is something we need to fix.
UPDATE/CORRECTION: This is more likely due to checking plugin/package compatibility, so your YMMV with regard to which plugin or package may trigger it. Rolling back to the previous WIP (for the time being) is probably the better course of action.
Thank you for the link @petermasek, I just came back to that version for now
I’m not using any of theses plug-in
it doesn’t look to be plugin specific as removing all plugins/packages worked for me, So as @dan said, it’s a more generic compatibility checking issue
same here on tahoe 26.4 - I also use vectorize from the package manager
A hot fix is out. The crash bug should be fixed.
everything is up and running again!
Everything seems to be working here as well, thanks!

That is the expected behavior. Rhino 9 will not run on an Intel Mac.
