Windows Update led to Revit 2025 crashing when clicking on Inside.Rhino

Hi,

After a Windows update, Revit 2025 kept crashing when clicking on Inside.Rhino.

I’ve spend hours online to Autodesk and finally everything has been resolved.

My only problem is the most recent download of Rhino doesn’t go any further than the splash screen.

Would it be possible to provide a link for Rhino Version 8 SR18 (8.18.25100.11001)?

After the downtime, I urgently need to get a Rhino model into Revit.

I’ll take a deep dive into why the current version isn’t working at a later stage.

Thanks.

Hi Rob,

Lets try repairing your redistributables. Recent Windows updates have been having issues in this regard.

the repair option can be found here..

  1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

  2. Right-click Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and choose Repair.

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86)
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64)

    Note that there are minimum requirements for Rhino version in RiR. Currently its 8.21
    Rhino.Inside®.Revit

Hey Japhy,

See the screenshots below:

One message came up - see below (I clicked Yes):

I’m now able to access both Rhino 8 and Grasshopper via Rhino.Inside. I’ll try moving items from Rhino into Revit.

Thank you SO much for your help!

Regards,

Rob
