Windows 10 freeze rhino 7

Rhino 7 is freezing my machine every on every use requiring a hard reset.

I believe all the system drivers are up to date

Files are on local drive copied by dropbox

turned off GPU tessellation hasn’t made a difference.

Help the software is near unusable at this point … have to save after every successful operation

My system info is:

Hi Dwight - does this happen regardless of what file, if any, is opened?

-Pascal

it’s inconsistent, it happens on different files but the one file I am working on freezes the system everytime

Hi Dwight - can you please send that file to tech@mcneel.com, with a link back to this topic in your comments?

-Pascal

it’s a 56 Mb file I don’t know if it will email?

Hello- use www.rhino3d.com/upload. Thanks.

-Pascal

uploaded the file

Thanks - your file opens fine here, I do not, so far, see anything amiss with it - some not-very-nice surfaces in the blocks but so far all valid and fine. I’ve purged some un-used blocks and saved - I’ll send it back, though it is a shot in the dark that that would help…

-Pascal

Thanks Pascal

I worked on the cleaned up file for hours without a freeze … thank you!

Can you please describe what you did to clean up the file?

Thanks

Dwight

Hi Dwight - I purged some unused block definitions - Purge command. Reamins to be seen why that halped and which block(s) was the bad one.
