I haven’t used Enscape for about 7 years, I had a look around Enscape today and my impression is that not much has changed over the years. What is your impression, will there be more render features or has the core development stagnated? Animation of objects or Bongo support doesn’t seem to have been developed any further.
You probably should ask that over at enscape3d.com . You do know that the companies Enscape and Chaos group (V-Ray) merged a couple of years ago?
Yes, I know. But it doesn’t seem to have changed much in the development of Enscape. I already had the impression 7 years ago during my active Enscape time that the technology seems to be exhausted. It would be interesting to know what the experience of Rhino users is, what has changed in the last few years?
I’ve just discovered another post that confirms my impression that Chaos Envision is probably the new Enscape. Interesting.
Yay! Even more things to subscribe to!
But yes, this is not an experience that remains with some Chaos Enscape users; but is with a few renderers and visualisation softwares.
There was a long discussion only a few months(?) back, that basically the most advertised “new” feature is that you can’t own it anymore. The focus seems to be either on assets or materials that are eitther easily reproduced, or are bloat.
I’d imagine that much of the focus is folding in some AI enhancements, so you can just get to the top of, or over, the uncanny valley hellscape in animations. Or add features that you don’t have to make materials yourself; they are just AI generated.
