Why lines not showing up?

please see attached… why are the lines not appearing in wireframe mode?

small square…

if I select the line sqaure it appears in yellow…

Basic question, do you have activated the show curves in the visibility tab for your wireframe display mode?

Before we go any further…

i do , i think it is a graphioces card issue, new RTX 2060 super… I move the curves and then they appear!!

yes I have the latesrest driver.

i am working in rhino 5…

not a big issue just one of those things

Yes, in that case seems like a graphic card issue.

McNeel state that Rhino 5 requires OpenGL 2 (https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/rhino5videocards) whereas the RTX cards are OpenGL 4.6 (https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2060-super/).

As far as I know, OpenGl has always been backward compatible so any card capable of supporting 4.6 is also capable of supporting all previous versions. Not sure what your point is.

Well, I may be reading too much precision into the wording, but the McNeel wiki says that Rhino 5 requires OpenGL 2, not OpenGL 2 or later. So that might be worth looking into.

As for backward compatibility, there exists the possibility, as with any software, that it is imperfectly implemented… And OpenGL 3.0 introduced the concept of deprecated features, so that with each new release earlier functionality is withdrawn from the core profile and has to be explicitly enabled from the compatibility profile if full backward compatibility is to be maintained.
