Why does "cap hole ex" stop

I am writing a script in which I use “cap hole ex” is used to close breps. I know in some cases it is not able to do the job, but why is it stopping completely after one object failed. Normally you would expect when giving an error just give a null value and go for the next job. But “cap holes ex” stops completely.
