Hi ,my name is Jos and I’m using Rhino and GH for over a year now.
I use them for my 3d clay printer to design objects that are then printed, baked and glazed.
recently, as as Easter will be coming along , I started creating egg shapes with Noise patterns.
I read a lot of articles on the Forum, especially infos by @laurent_delrieu and @DanielPiker whcih helped a lot for creating my first objects.
But I’m still a an exploration stage where I use the components which sometimes work (and sometimes not) and I would like to have a better understanding of these noise modules.
does someone have a link to more documentation about those components, especially what are the meaning and the effects of the different parameter of the components ( gain, lacunarity, etc..) in order to better control and evnetualy plan the possible results. For the moment, it’s fishing in the dark or at best Trial and error.
Hello
it is not clear which tool you use, but in Nautilus the main one for me is Fast Noise Lite. So you will have to search for fast noise lite on the web. I understand it is not simple as the tool has some options that depends on others and some are useless (with some options). But I think I put all the sliders in order to be able to play with the tool.
Yes, until now I was working with Nautilus and FastNoiseLite and I was delighted by the possibilitioes of this compoenent. I did also notice that some options had no effet depend on what you’d chosen before. Thanks for the link, I did already check it and It answers my questions about those options (or even confirms my supposition what it would be).
Are there other noise tools around ? I’m actually checking the Tundra package to see wht the possibilities are there.
