What to do with jagged squares rendering Flamingo nXt

#1

When I create complicated models in Rhino, I get strange jagged squares in my renderings. Especially glass reflections.
Please see attached images

Does anybody now how to fix this problem?

Hi Rick,

I think that is due to the HDR used in the sky. It is pretty low res and the jaggies are the actual pixels of it being reflected. You can either use a higher resolution HDR in the sky or blur a low res one externally. An alternate approach is to decrease the sharpness of the material to scuff it up slightly. In the case of a glass material, this might make it too frosted looking. Here’s an HDR I made that is already blurred to test with.
