I need to show diameters but in an ortho side view. I have been creating the diameter annotations in the front view where object has circles then moving the annotation to the side view but the centre crosses are coming with them and ‘polluting’ the scene.
If I could create leaders instead all would be good but how do I get the diameter circle and slash ?

Hi Steve- Alt +0216 makes the diameter symbol

There are several Unicode characters that look like a diameter symbol. Depending on your font it might show correct in preview but disappear during PDF printing. So test that too. See Text characters disappear when printing to Pdf?

I held Alt down and typed 0216 and I get a dringg noise on the 0 and nothing appeared, I then tried Alt then/and shift to get the + and then 0216 again nothing.
google it, needs numlock ‘on’ and that number set, try again, and when release alt afterwards the symbol appears…BINGO. thanks.
Arial is the font.
