What method to align item to two curves?

as shown in image (also file attached)…I need to have point B onto the curve and point A onto the line.
Item NOT to be rotated.

What command and method should be used ?

I looked in on the Ctrl hover options osnap but couldnt see anything of use except perhaps persistent on curve but I didnt get anywhere with it as I would need B persistent on curve and also A and couldnt see how to use it twice in the move command.

Task 2 is same but with two curves.

Whatever works for task 2 would be of use for task 1.

I did see a solution for task 1 which was to measure angle of line, then constrain angle of move to that of the line, snap A to line then with that constrain, move B up and down !

however scenario of task 2 would be good to know. There might be a chance of error if one is using an angle constraint e.g. 45.7 degrees when in fact the exact angle was 45.7003.
object details doesnt indicate angle and angle dim is curently giving 1 decimal point,

not sure what dec pt I would need to have it set to to avoid creep when using constrain.

Hi,
so draw a line between A and B, move item and that line to snap A to ‘curve for A’

then how to move it keeping A on curveA and have B dock with curve for B, what command(s) for that ?

no,… copy line AB to bottom end of smaller blue curve, copy small blue curve to other end, the intersection of blue curves is the new location for your point A. Move item from point A, and snap to the intersection of blue curves.

its not just about tools for the job but mental gymnastics on geometry at times.

There could be a tool for this,or some code…maybe.
