Hi Austin,
Take a look at this series on text fields.
And then in these tutorials, we set up the model on a layouts.
In most cases, we also add a title block that we make or one that is downloaded.
The tutorial models sets have example title block that you can investigate.
The tutorials have file to download, and links are in the video description.
1. Is there a specific process for saving this template and reusing?
A block in your custom template is the best way. The block needs to be created on the layout.
2. Do I need to format the titleblock in a certain way?
In general, if the title block is to be used on a layout, then the curves & text in the title block should be created in the Layout and then associated into a Block object.
If it is not to be used on a Layout but “old school” on the model, then the curves and text will need to be created on the model. This is less common, but still see it being done in rare cases.
Add curves, images (logos) and text. Assign the objects to layers with Print Width. Block it on a layout. Use fields to help automatically fill out the title block when possible.
3 What is the best way to add a client logo?
Picture command (special surface with a texture)
4. Is there a streamlined way to resize for larger prints like ARCH D, etc?
Once you have a layout in a file with a title block on it, you can add it to another file with the ImportLayout command.
Let us know if you have any specific questions.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Fugier
