What is the idea behind Arctic view?

I can’t figure out the necessity of Arctic view. Is this a requirement for some specific field? Can someone explain to me its usefulness?

No need to change materials away from objects to full white, skylight (and SSAO) is on. Great for… artistic rendering of model. Some users use this heavily in their work for their clients.

Any particular field?

No field in particular.

Any case where form is being checked, and something better than good old shaded mode is wanted. This is what other packages do with so-called clay rendering.

If you turned on surface edges and such you can get probably a very good idea of how the model is working and built.

In Architecture, for sure. It helps to read the form, without additional color or texture distraction.
