What is RhinoCycles?

#1

Hello, RhinoCycles is what? This is a render it seems, but then it could not be downloaded…

#2

I think it is the new render engine of rhino V6. You can only use it if you have rhino WIP.
You can also try Neon plugin if you wish to keep using rhino 5.

RhinoCycles is the Rhino integration for the Cycles render engine (https://www.cycles-renderer.org/). It comes already installed with Rhino WIP, so the only thing you need to do is download and install it. You’ll find the integration then as the display mode called Raytraced.

Means in Rhino 5 I can’t use RhinoCycles?

#6

I will try a render of Neon…

Correct. Theoretically I could write an integration plug-in for v5, but all my time for the past few years has gone in the WIP, and the RDK SDK for it.

#9

It is a pity…
I can’t find in any way the program where could render images (I have made an object in Rhino and I render him with qualitative textures), the program has to support various textural maps (diffuse, normal, etc.). V-Ray 3 won’t be established… Flamingo doesn’t have enough opportunities…

Neon - rendering in real time, is useful… But not that it is required to me.
