What a nice little (hidden) feature

I only just realised that entering a number at the “root” of the sub-D plane and mesh plane command prompt changes both X and Y count to that number - I didn’t know that, so just putting it out there in case some of you are as thick as I am. There’s probably other similar commands that will do the same…

MeshBox has the same neat feature:

pro tip, you can make buttons or aliases with that info baked in so if you frequently need a sphere with 8x8 topology, or a cube with 4x4x4 topo you can bake this into a button and get that layout each time you run the command.
