Hi,
I created a pdf file to show you how Rhinoceros generates coarse results regarding the “make2d” command.
I compared the Rhino result with the one generated by Spaceclaim.
Both aren’t perfect but the Spaceclaim dwg output (imported in Rhino) is 100% fixable.
The Rhinoceros hidden lines vector output is not fixable in many parts. Also increasing the units precision doesn’t help.
The Rhinoceros 8 hidden lines output remembers me the 30 years old Autocad hidden lines output, it was a mess to fix it.
I think that further efforts can be made to create a new line removal algorithm.

Is this post about the Make2D
command or about printing to vector PDF? Or both?
Either way, I’m afraid there is nothing that we can fix based on a PDF.
For example, I wouldn’t call this curve coarse…
-wim
Hi Wim,
I mean the outside curves below the call-out.
