You can do it in grasshopper by using graph mapper then repeat data connected with move in Z axis . then use loft between all curves

i have been trying for an hhour yet this is as far as i could go! could you please help me out !? thank you so much!

I know this is not what you are looking for, but this material can be handy for visualization later.

Eight years ago I used an Image Sampler to create surfaces with wake patterns, including additional waves outside the pattern.

Here are 22 of the GH files I can find from that period:
wake_wave.zip (4.2 MB)

And this old video that looks like the source of some of your images?

I’ll use the formula presented in this shader.

Looks cool, what’s a “shader”? Does it create surfaces or only illusions?

Care to post a GH example?

I am on it. Just began
Here I understand the shader is doing some black and white. using some parameter (mouse position)
A more simple one .

Example of shader application

Not there yet, but seems encouraging

Still some work to do to tune to Grasshopper, coordinates in Shadertoy seems between -1 to 1, some others values could be changed to change the scale …
Some Nautilus Component to color the mesh or bump but could be replaced by some GH components.
Output A is a double value for each mesh vertex.

thank you so so much!!!

:frowning: Looks promising.

Tells the guy that sends 22 definitions

None of them required plugins, eh? I looked through them, couldn’t decide which one was best.

Like I said the C# doesn’t need plugin it was just a way to visualize the results.
