Wall for a cup

My dear Rhino professionals,

can someone help me how to make a wall for the cup? I have already tried the OffsetSrf command, but then something strange happens at the bottom of the cup…
Is there maybe another command I can use?

You’re dealing with self-intersections.

For a cup shaped object, I think I would offset the section for the revolution. Doing that, the result of the revolution is a closed polysurface.

Or, as I usually do, offset outwards.

This works well for both curve offsets and surface offsets. Go out.
