I have started to experiment with VA and was wondering if there is a method for calculating the area of the associated surfaces to a space. I am mainly wondering about wall area with opening areas subtracted.
The use case would be something like if I was trying to calculate the inside wall surface area of a space to estimate the amount of paint needed for the entire room.

Hi Peder,
Unfortunately this is not possible, but we will possibly add this feature for a future version.
In the meantime we are going to publish a Grasshopper definition that will achieve that.

I see, it would be super useful to be able to associate surfaces, elements and styles to spaces. In many projects its easier to reference building components from the space they are in.
