Volume Method for Closed Solid PolySurface

To use Rhino as the reference in an scientific article, I need to know how Rhino calculates the volume of Closed Solid Polysurfaces.

Can one of the developers say something to the used Method? the manual only tells about how to use. Not about what is used in the background.

Is it some kind of Gauss Integration, or some Divergenz Theorem Algorithmus (DTA) voxelization?

Thanks for your help!.
cheers

Lukas

Hi Lukas - I have no idea whether this is public information - @GregArden - is there anything you can say here?

Mass properties calculations are represented as surface integrals , using the Divergence Theorem. The integrals are performed in surface parameter space with a method based on the Romberg method.
