Has anyone used VisualARQ for creating the BIM model, but used BricsCAD (or similar) via IFC for documentation (e.g. schedule creation) and drawing management? I’ve long wanted to use VisualARQ for creating the BIM model (for ship design) for its flexible modeling capabilities. However our industry is very .dwg dependent so the raster/pdf drawings from VisualARQ are not acceptable. Any input would be much appreciated!
Hi, it is entirely possible to export DWG from VisualARQ plans, sections, etc. I think they are pushing to use 3D-views from layouts directly, and from there even you can export vector PDS’s and export DWG’s (not perfectly yet, though).
Do you have some examples, or pics on what the outcome should be versus what yuo’re getting?
